Skin & Coat Conditions

Solutions To The Problems

The health of a dog's skin and coat is based on the general health status of that dog. While a healthy diet addresses general nutritional needs, some supplements are geared specifically to address the extra boost that a particular dog may need.

There are many reasons that may lie behind poor skin and coat conditions.

Once your veterinarian has diagnosed the problem, a good diet combined with

appropriate supplements can show improvement in a short period of time.

Coat Maintenance
Proper nutrition should produce a coat that is manageable to groom, soft or wiry as the breed dictates, and a natural gloss that doesn't need to come from grooming products.

Skin Problems
Itchy, flaky, inflamed skin can be due to a number of reasons. Food and/or environmental allergies, disease, lack of high quality fat in the diet, and more.

Issues with Yeast
Yeast is a natural resident of the skin but a yeast overgrowth causes misery for both dog and owner. Yeast proliferates when there is an underlying problem.
